It’s important to support and connect with the community around us. That’s why we have regular ministries and events that serve and welcome our neighbors:

  • Scouts

  • Preschool

  • After School Care (for students at McKendree Elementary)

  • Ashes-to-Go (Ash Wednesday, usually February)

  • Stations of the Cross (the week before Easter)

  • Mother’s Day outreach (May)

  • Focus Camp (June)

  • School supply drive for McKendree Elementary School (July, August)

  • Back-to-School community parking lot party (August)

  • Bless the Badges meal and prayer for First Responders (September)

  • Trunk or Treat (October)

  • Veterans Dinner meal and prayer for veterans (November)

  • Journey through Bethlehem (December)

  • The Giving Tree (December)

VBS REGISTRATION IS LIVE!

McKendree UMC is excited for VBS this summer! The theme is Stellar: Launching kids on a cosmic quest where they’ll have a blast shining Jesus’ light to the world!

VBS is for kids ages rising PreK (4yrs) through 6th grade. Each day builds on a simple phrase that reinforces a Bible lesson and includes music, games, snacks, and much more. For more information click here.
